MECTEND GROUP COMPANIES
The group MECTEND srl TAGLIOLO MONFERRATO manufactures awnings and pergolas for solar shading. Accessories are produced in the Mectend group’s foundry and plastic molding companies. While the assembling takes place in the factory in TAGLIOLO M.
THE FOUNDRY
Since 1969, our Ovada (AL) foundry, part of the Mectend Group, has been making die-casting and casting molds.
The molds make it possible to produce all the aluminum accessories of our awning models.
In addition, the plant’s facilities are automated for the entire production cycle.
This includes cutting, tumbling, and finishing the pieces.
PLASTIC MOLDING
Since the 1980s Mectend has been producing the nylon awning accessories.
Production takes place at the plastic molding plant, part of the Mectend Group.
The machinery is automated.
Both machines and presses are specifically for molding plastics.
AWNINGS
The factory founded in the 1960s began the first production of awning accessories in those years. In the year 1984, Mectend was founded.
In 2001, the new industrial site in Tagliolo Monferrato (AL) was opened. This is completed in 2004, creating a production area of over 10000 square meters.
Within the manufacturing site, we have mechanical production. This consists of drilling, threading and assembly of accessories.
In addition, we work on the fabric assembling of our awnings.
LOGISTICS
Mectend’s site also includes a large square footage logistics warehouse for storing and shipping its awnings.
Delivery is handled from the Mectend warehouse to the customer. This is done through the company’s own fleet of transportation vehicles for northern and central Italy.
For deliveries to the rest of Italy and abroad, trusted partner couriers are employed.
